Access to educational opportunities is limited for children from Myanmar (Burma) in communities along the Thailand-Myanmar border. In Thailand, refugees must attend schools based in refugee camps to access education. For displaced children and youth in migrant communities, migrant learning centers provide alternative solutions to address the barriers communities face in accessing the Thai formal education system. In Myanmar, despite a long history of conflict, communities seek to provide education opportunities to their children in the absence of government support.
World Education Thailand works with all of these school systems to ensure access to education for youth, and to improve education quality and recognition.
